Long John Dunn ran the stage line between Taos and Santa Fe, kept saloons and gambling halls, and by his death in 1953 was one of the best-known figures in Taos. Max Evans knew him, and his book about Dunn, first published by Westernlore Press in 1959, was Evans's first book. Clear Light Publishers of Santa Fe brought out this revised edition in 1993, with a foreword by William Eastlake.
The copyright page gives the history in two lines, 'Revised edition of Long John Dunn of Taos © 1959' and 'First Printing,' so this copy is a first printing of the revised edition, not the 1959 first edition.
Revised edition, first printing (1993)

A first printing of the revised text; the first edition is the 1959 Westernlore Press book. This is a Clear Light Publishers book; see how Clear Light Publishers states its first printings.
