What this site collects

New Mexico Literacy Project is a one-person, for-profit book and media donation business in Albuquerque, run by Josh Eldred. The website exists so donors can find the 24/7 drop box, request a free pickup, and use the first-edition reference tools. It collects only what those jobs need.

When you request a pickup or send a message, the form asks for your name, a phone number or email, your neighborhood or ZIP code, and a note about what you have. That is the information used to call or text you back and schedule the visit. Nothing else is required.

The reference tools (the first-edition checker, LCCN and CD lookups, the vinyl index) run without accounts. Searches you type are processed to answer the lookup and are not tied to your identity. The checker keeps a session history only in your own browser so you can copy results while working through a stack.

How the information is used

Pickup requests and messages are delivered to Josh by email and, when the database is available, stored so a request is not lost. They are used to schedule and complete the pickup and for nothing else. Donor contact details are never sold, rented, or shared with marketers.

If you leave a public Google review, the words you wrote and the name shown on Google may be quoted on this site's testimonials page, exactly as published on Google. Ask by email and a quote will be removed.

Analytics: this site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits, see which pages help people, and measure whether buttons such as the drop-off directions get used. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, keeps standard server and security logs. Neither is used to identify individual donors.

Third parties and cookies

Form submissions travel through formsubmit.co, an email relay, to reach Josh's inbox. Maps links open Google Maps or Apple Maps under their own policies. Payments are never taken on this site, so no card or bank information is collected anywhere.

Cookies and local storage are limited to Google Analytics measurement and small conveniences such as remembering a chosen language or a checker session list. You can clear them in your browser at any time and the site keeps working.

Your choices and contact

You can ask what has been kept about a pickup request and have it deleted once the pickup is complete. Email [email protected], or call or text the number below, and it will be handled personally. This page is updated whenever the way the site works changes, and the effective date above moves with it.
