What I Accept

  • All Books

Hardcovers, paperbacks, children's books, novels, textbooks, cookbooks, coffee table books — everything.

  • DVDs & Blu-rays

Movies, TV series, documentaries, educational videos — with or without cases.

  • CDs & Audiobooks

Music, spoken word, audiobooks — any genre, any condition.

I accept everything in any condition. Water-damaged, torn, highlighted, missing covers, no cases — don't throw it away, bring it to me. I'll find a use for it.

Why Donate Here Instead?

Books are hand-sorted and resold. Children's books are donated free to UNM Children's Hospital pediatric ward, group homes for adults with developmental disabilities, and elementary and middle school libraries in rural New Mexico. Only books that are truly unreadable — water-damaged, moldy, or falling apart — get paper-recycled. Over 500,000 pounds processed and counting.

I accept ANY condition. Most places reject damaged items. I take everything.

24/7 drop box. Come when it's convenient for you — no store hours to worry about.

Zero hassle. Drive up, drop off, drive away. No sorting, no waiting in line, no paperwork.

Independent operation. Your books get a second life and help readers find what they're looking for.

"My mom passed and left behind three rooms of books. I was dreading dealing with them. These guys came out, loaded everything, and were gone in 45 minutes. Didn't charge a dime."

— Sandra M., Estate Cleanout — NE Heights

"Drove by the drop box at 10pm on a Tuesday with four boxes of books from my classroom. In and out in two minutes. So much easier than trying to find a Goodwill that's open."

— Mark T., Teacher — Rio Rancho

Book Donation FAQ

Can I donate damaged books in Albuquerque? +

Yes. I accept books in any condition — torn covers, water damage, highlighting, missing pages, dog-eared, yellowed, whatever. If the library or Goodwill rejected them, bring them here. Most still find a reader. The ones that are genuinely beyond reading — water-stained, moldy, or with broken bindings — get paper-recycled. I even remove the glue binding for better recyclability.

What happens to donated books? +

Every donation gets sorted by hand. Books with resale value are listed on Amazon and eBay — the revenue funds the free pickup service and keeps the operation running. Most children's books are distributed free to Little Free Libraries, UNM Children's Hospital, and care facilities across Albuquerque. The remaining readable books go out the same way — to readers through my distribution channels. Only books that are truly unreadable — water-damaged, moldy, or falling apart — get paper-recycled. Nothing useful goes to waste.

Do you accept old encyclopedias, textbooks, and magazines? +

Yes — I accept encyclopedias, textbooks (any edition), magazines, cookbooks, yearbooks, sheet music, and pretty much anything printed. Most places won't take these. I will. Readable ones go to readers; only the damaged or outdated-beyond-use material gets paper-recycled. Either way, they stay out of the landfill.

Can I donate DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, or board games? +

Absolutely. I accept DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, vinyl records, board games, and puzzles alongside books. Drop them in the same box — no need to separate anything.

Is this a tax-deductible donation? +

No. We'm a for-profit business, not a nonprofit. Donations are not tax-deductible. The trade-off is that I accept everything in any condition, offer free pickup, and the 24/7 drop box is always open — no restrictions, no business hours, no rejection.
