A History of the Southwest is Adolph F. Bandelier's study of the civilization and conversion of the Indians of the American Southwest and northwestern Mexico from the earliest times to 1700, edited by Ernest J. Burrus, S.J., for the Jesuit Historical Institute's Sources and Studies for the History of the Americas. Bandelier is the archaeologist and historian that Bandelier National Monument is named for.
This is the Supplement to Volume I, published in 1969 from Rome and St. Louis University: a gray portfolio that reproduces in color thirty sketches and ten maps from the work, kept apart from the text volume so the plates can be laid out and compared.
