I accept Anne Hillerman donations anywhere in the Albuquerque metro with free pickup — the whole collection: the Leaphorn, Chee, and Bernadette Manuelito mysteries that continue her father Tony Hillerman's series (from Spider Woman's Daughter onward), plus her New Mexico photography and nonfiction. You don't sort or price anything. Bring it all; the novels are recent so most are common, but first printings and signed copies are recognized, and the rest funds New Mexico literacy.

Anne Hillerman, a Santa Fe writer, took up her late father Tony's beloved Navajo-country mysteries and carried them forward — moving Officer Bernadette Manuelito to center stage alongside Leaphorn and Chee. Her readers here in New Mexico often shelve her books right next to her father's, and when a collection gets cleared, most people just want it to go somewhere good. That's exactly what I'm for: I take the whole thing, free, and I check every book.
What I take: all of it
The Leaphorn, Chee & Manuelito novels
The continuation series — Spider Woman's Daughter, Rock with Wings, Song of the Lion, Cave of Bones, The Tale Teller, Stargazer, The Sacred Bridge, The Way of the Bear, and onward.
The New Mexico nonfiction
Her photography and travel books on New Mexico and the Southwest, including Tony Hillerman's Landscape and the Santa Fe and Gardens of Santa Fe books.
Any condition
Reading copies, signed copies, the "Dark Winds" tie-in editions, and incomplete runs — bring whatever's on the shelf, and the Tony Hillerman books alongside them.
You don't have to know what's valuable
Here's the honest picture: Anne Hillerman's novels are recent, so most copies are common and modest in value — but first printings and signed copies of the series, beginning with Spider Woman's Daughter (2013), are collected, especially by readers assembling the complete combined Hillerman saga across two generations. You don't have to figure out which printing you have; bring the whole shelf and I'll recognize the first printings and signed copies, set them aside, and keep the reading copies in circulation, with any hidden value identified and handled properly.
Why donate instead of selling it yourself
For a signed first you know is special, selling on your own is fine. For the rest — recent hardcovers and paperbacks — listing each book is more work than it's worth. Donating handles it in one call: no research, no pricing, no listings, no shipping, free pickup at your door, reading copies to new readers, and any first printing or signed copy recognized and supporting New Mexico literacy. Here's where donated books go.
How free pickup works
Call or text 702-496-4214 (or schedule online), tell me roughly how much there is and where you are, and we set a time. I come to you and load it all. I cover Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Corrales, the East Mountains, and the surrounding metro, and I handle whole-house and estate cleanouts regularly.
