Church & Organization Book Donations in Albuquerque
Churches, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations regularly face the challenge of clearing out book collections. Refreshing a church library, cycling through Bible studies with surplus materials, clearing out piles of VBS (Vacation Bible School) leftovers, or dealing with overcrowded Sunday school rooms — the New Mexico Literacy Project is here to help.
The same applies to schools deaccessioning old textbooks, nonprofit reading programs cycling through inventory, and any community organization looking to responsibly handle books that are no longer needed. I understand the scope of institutional donations, and I'm equipped to handle them efficiently.

The Impact of Your Donation
When you donate books through the New Mexico Literacy Project, your materials stay in circulation instead of ending up in the landfill. Children's books from church and school donations are donated free to the pediatric ward at UNM Children's Hospital, care homes for adults with developmental disabilities, and small-town New Mexico school libraries. General collections are evaluated for resale or distribution to pass books along to readers, students, and families across Albuquerque.
Organizations and churches like Assistance League of Albuquerque and La Vida Llena retirement community have partnered with me to handle their ongoing book donation needs. I can do the same for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to sort or organize the books before pickup?
No, absolutely not. One of the benefits of working with me is that I handle all the sorting and organization for you. Simply box them up, let us know you have a donation, and I'll take care of the rest.
Q: How large does a donation need to be to qualify for free pickup?
I work with organizations and institutions of all sizes. Even if you don't have a massive collection, call me at 702-496-4214 to discuss your donation. If pickup isn't feasible, I can direct you to my 24/7 drop box or arrange another solution.
Q: What happens to the books after I donate them?
I give books a second life through resale and free distribution. Children's books are donated free to UNM Children's Hospital, group homes for adults with developmental disabilities, school libraries in small communities across northern New Mexico, and Little Free Libraries throughout the metro. Other books are evaluated for potential resale or recycling if they're no longer usable. Every book is handled — nothing goes to waste.
