This page is published by the New Mexico Literacy Project to document what NMLP has sent to La Vida Llena Retirement Community. Why this matters
Independent-living retirement communities have active reader populations and limited budgets for trade-book acquisition. Donated books arriving in good condition extend what the community can offer to residents who depend on a daily-reading routine for cognitive engagement. La Vida Llena's book cart is the senior-living reading program NMLP supplies.
What NMLP donates
- Large-print fiction and biography for residents with reduced vision
- Hardcover and trade paperback fiction popular with adult readers
- Regional New Mexico history and culture books with strong local-resident interest
- Recent best-sellers when they come through the warehouse in good condition
How the routing works
NMLP delivers books to La Vida Llena's book cart and library, pre-sorted at the warehouse for large print, condition and fit.
