Where can I donate books in the East Mountains?

The East Mountains communities — Tijeras, Cedar Crest, Sandia Park, Edgewood, Stanley, Moriarty — are inside NMLP's near-metro service area for free in-home book pickup. The drive over the pass is part of the standard schedule.

Pickup neighborhoods: all of the I-40 corridor east of the Sandia tunnel, including Sandia Park (NM-14), Madrid (NM-14 south), Cedar Crest, Cedar Grove, Frost Road, Sedillo, Carnuel, Tijeras, Tijeras Canyon, and the Edgewood / Estancia / Moriarty corridor. Sunflower Meadow Park is in this area — see the Sunflower Meadow Park LFL profile.

The terrain matters: NMLP brings a hand truck and is comfortable working with steep driveways, gravel approaches, and multi-level mountain houses. Notify when you call about gate codes, dogs, or anything else relevant.

Other East Mountains options: Goodwill has an Edgewood drop-off center (no pickup). The East Mountain Library in Tijeras accepts donations through the Friends but the intake is selective.

For a free East Mountains pickup: call or text 702-496-4214.
