La Vida Llena Retirement Community

An NMLP donation routing partner — Albuquerque, NM

This page is published by the New Mexico Literacy Project to document the donation-routing relationship between NMLP and La Vida Llena Retirement Community. La Vida Llena Retirement Community has not formally endorsed this page; if you represent the organization and want to claim, update, correct, or remove this page, please contact [email protected] or call 702-496-4214.

Why this matters

Independent-living retirement communities have active reader populations and limited budgets for trade-book acquisition. Donated books arriving in good condition extend what the community can offer to residents who depend on a daily-reading routine for cognitive engagement. La Vida Llena's library is one of several senior-care reading programs in the metro that NMLP supports.

What NMLP donates

How the routing works

NMLP coordinates regular deliveries with La Vida Llena's library steward (currently Glyndon Hossink, who also stewards the Sunflower Meadow Park LFL — the routing relationships compounded). Books are pre-sorted at the NMLP warehouse for large-print availability, condition, and category fit before delivery. The community's book cart and shared library absorb a steady flow.

How this routing started

Glyndon Hossink coordinated the relationship after positive Google review feedback; the partnership has been operational since 2025.
