Sheet music is a niche donation category that NMLP accepts gladly. Goodwill and Friends of APL generally reject sheet music intake; the local music stores have limited trade-in for individual sheet collections.
NMLP routes sheet music donations:
- Classical solo and ensemble music (G. Schirmer, Boosey & Hawkes, Dover, Henle, Bärenreiter) — category fit for music students, school music programs, individual music teachers, and youth orchestra programs in the metro.
- Method books (Suzuki, Royal Conservatory ABRSM, John Thompson, Alfred) — route to private music teachers across the metro.
- Hymnals and church music — route to NM congregations needing replacement copies.
- Vintage and historical sheet music (pre-1960 popular sheet, ragtime, vintage classical) — collector-grade material, evaluated for specialty resale.
- Choral and band music — multiple-copy sets route to school music programs, choirs, and community bands.
If you have an entire music library (concert pianist, retired music teacher, church music director estate), NMLP handles the whole pickup and pre-sorts at the warehouse before routing. Call 702-496-4214.
