Graphic novels and comics are a strong NMLP donation category with both online resale and reader-routing demand:
- Graphic novel trade paperbacks — Watchmen, Maus, Persepolis, Sandman, Saga, Y: The Last Man. Strong online resale for current editions; LFL routing for older.
- Manga — Naruto, One Piece, Death Note, Attack on Titan, current series. High demand at LFL stewards and at NM teen reading programs. Volume sets often sell well online.
- Marvel and DC trade paperbacks — current crossover events, classic runs (Frank Miller Daredevil, Alan Moore Swamp Thing, Grant Morrison X-Men). Mixed online resale; LFL demand is real.
- Individual single-issue comics — accepted in any quantity; bulk lots route to local comic shops and collectors when alignment fits.
- Vintage comics (Silver Age, Bronze Age) — high collector value for specific issues. NMLP flags potential value for the donor before any are routed.
- Indie graphic novels and small-press comics — Drawn & Quarterly, Fantagraphics, First Second imprints — strong LFL demand and modest online resale.
If you have a longbox of single-issue comics from the 1970s-1990s, mention it when you call — high-grade examples in protective sleeves can have substantial value. Free pickup. 702-496-4214.
