Coffee table books — oversized, heavily illustrated, often expensive when new — are difficult to donate elsewhere. They take up significant shelf space at thrift stores, ship awkwardly, and have unpredictable resale. NMLP accepts all coffee table books:
- Photography monographs — Annie Leibovitz, Sebastião Salgado, Ansel Adams retrospectives, regional NM photographers. Substantial collector and reader value for many; route to specialty resale or LFL depending on edition.
- Architecture and design — Frank Lloyd Wright, Christopher Alexander, John Gaw Meem regional NM architecture, Taliesin publications. Specialty resale demand.
- Art monographs — Taschen, Phaidon, Thames & Hudson editions of major artists. Online resale for recent editions, LFL routing for older.
- NM and Southwest regional — books on the New Mexico landscape, Native American art, Spanish Colonial heritage, the high desert. NMLP archive has documented several.
- National Geographic publications — atlases, photo collections, anniversary editions. Reader demand at care facilities; archive value for vintage editions.
- Vintage coffee table books (pre-1980) — may have substantial collector value depending on subject and edition.
Free pickup is the right path because coffee table books are heavy. NMLP brings the hand truck. 702-496-4214.
