Art books (Taschen monographs, museum exhibition catalogs, photography books, fine-art coffee-table books, design and architecture references) are a high-value donation category that NMLP routes carefully:
- Museum exhibition catalogs from MOIFA, NM Museum of Art, Albuquerque Museum, Harwood Taos, Wheelwright Santa Fe, Couse-Sharp, Roswell Museum — collector-grade for the donation archive and specialty resale.
- Photography monographs — Adams, Strand, Mapplethorpe, Sherman, Goldin — strong online resale demand, especially first or limited editions.
- Taschen, Phaidon, Thames & Hudson — recent editions sell well online; older editions go to LFL stewards in arts-heavy neighborhoods.
- Architecture and design references — Christopher Alexander, Frank Lloyd Wright monographs, NM regional architecture (John Gaw Meem) — specialty resale.
- Damaged or coverless art books — pages with intact illustrations route to local artists who do collage and mixed-media work.
NMLP's Donation Archive has documented several regional art books that came through donation — see the archive for examples (Fetishes and Carvings of the Southwest by Branson, Embroideries by Rebecca James MOIFA catalog).
