Donate Work Clothes in Albuquerque — Suits, Scrubs, Uniforms
That closet full of old scrubs, the suit you wore to three interviews, the company polo from two jobs ago — someone in Albuquerque needs them. I'm Josh with the New Mexico Literacy Project, and I pick up professional clothing for free. Suits help job seekers walk into interviews with confidence. Scrubs help nursing students start their careers. Work boots help tradespeople stay safe on the job.
Why Professional Clothing Matters
A suit for a job interview. Scrubs for a first nursing clinical. Steel-toe boots for a warehouse position. These aren't luxuries — they're requirements. And for people re-entering the workforce, leaving shelters, or starting over, the cost of proper work attire is a real barrier.
Your donated work clothes go to workforce readiness programs, transitional housing organizations, and individuals in Albuquerque who need them. I don't sell wearable professional clothing — it goes directly to someone starting a job or preparing for an interview.
What I Accept
Professional Attire
Suits, blazers, dress shirts, blouses, ties, dress pants, skirts, dress shoes, briefcases, professional bags.
Medical & Healthcare
Scrubs, lab coats, nursing shoes, medical uniforms, stethoscopes, clinical accessories.
Trade & Service
Work boots, steel-toe boots, non-slip shoes, hard hats, hi-vis vests, coveralls, tool belts.
Business Casual
Khakis, polos, button-downs, cardigans, loafers, office-appropriate clothing for everyday work.
Uniforms
Restaurant uniforms, retail uniforms, company polos, branded work shirts — logos are fine.
Any Condition
Worn, faded, minor stains, outdated styles — I take it all. Wearable items get donated. The rest gets textile recycled.
How It Works
I Pick Up Free
Bag or box your clothes — porch pickup is fine. Most pickups happen within a few days.
Clothes Find Purpose
Professional items help job seekers. Everything else gets sorted and directed where it's needed most.
Who Benefits From Your Work Clothes
Job Seekers
Workforce readiness programs outfit people for interviews. A suit or professional outfit can be the difference between landing a job and not.
Healthcare Students
Nursing and CNA students often need scrubs for clinicals and can't afford multiple sets. Clean scrubs go directly to students starting their healthcare careers.
Trade Workers
Steel-toe boots and safety gear are expensive. Workers entering construction, warehouse, and service jobs benefit from donated work footwear and safety equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
▶ Where can I donate work clothes in Albuquerque?
The New Mexico Literacy Project accepts all work clothes — suits, scrubs, uniforms, business casual — with free pickup in Albuquerque. Text or call 702-496-4214. Dress for Success and Goodwill also accept professional clothing in good condition.
▶ Can I donate old scrubs and medical uniforms?
Yes. I accept scrubs, lab coats, medical uniforms, and nursing shoes. Clean scrubs go to nursing students, CNAs entering the field, and healthcare workers who need replacements. Worn-out scrubs get textile recycled.
▶ Do you accept suits for job interviews?
Absolutely. Professional suits, blazers, dress shirts, ties, dress shoes, and interview-appropriate clothing are among my most requested items. They go to workforce readiness programs that help job seekers interview with confidence.
▶ What about old company uniforms with logos?
I accept uniforms with company logos. If the uniform is still wearable and the logo can be removed or isn't an issue, it gets donated. Otherwise, the fabric gets recycled into textile fiber. Nothing goes to the landfill.
▶ Can I donate steel-toe boots and work boots?
Yes. Work boots, steel-toe boots, non-slip shoes, and safety footwear are always needed. Construction workers, warehouse workers, and people entering trade jobs often can't afford proper work footwear.
